I’m going to write more about the pro-choice event I attended, and the issues discussed, including Bill C-484, the so-called “Unborn Victims of Crime Act.”
But for now, I want to squee a little. I made some friends tonight! I hit it off with the girl next to me at the discussion, and we exchanged email addresses. I’ve joined a pro-choice group, met two more members of the group, and loved them. Since I’ve always been in school up til now, I haven’t had to really try to make friends – friendships kind of evolve when you’re in classes with people, or on teams and in organizations. Now I’m in the real world, where I have to seek out friendships. I’m shy – it’s intimidating. But I did it.
