Love Your Body Day!

A more substantial post will follow at some point, I promise. After my life stops self-destructing (stolen bike; damaged laptop; thesis that refuses to write itself … the usual).

Today is Love Your Body Day. Yay! To honour it, I will list a few of my favourite things about my body. I did this almost a year ago, and it’s fun to see how it’s generally the same.

I still love my height, my calves, my nose, my hands, feet, wrists and ankles, my shoulders, my breasts, and my freckles. I do get frustrated with my hair.

I love my breasts more than I did a year ago – they’ve gone up a size in proportion to my weight gain over the past year and I now wear more clothing that shows off my fabulous cleavage. :)

See? A weight gain of ~20 lbs hasn’t changed what I love about myself.  Fancy that.

I missed love your body day? Boo-urns to that!

I’m not sure if I love my body itself so much as I love my face – and by that I don’t mean that I’m so amazingly good looking or anything (though I -totally- am), but I love that so many people seem to think I’m something I’m not. I’m Scottish and a little English, yet I’ve been told I look part French, Spanish, Asian, Greek, and even Mediterranean.

I’ve never been too fond of my height (though at 5′7″ it’s worlds better than it was in grade 11, at 4′11″), still have body issues, though that is gradually getting better as I get more confidence in the real world, but i love that my features throw a lot of people for a loop, heh.

And a weight gain of 20 pounds hasn’t changed what we love about you either! Fancy that!

Am I really taller than you? Huh.

You are, but then so are most who are older than the age of 13 (except circus midgets).
